Mount Annan Leisure Centre National Reconciliation Day

22 May 2018
Mount Annan Leisure Centre National Reconciliation Day

We welcome Indigenous members of the community to join us for the performance, information session & morning tea

YMCA Mount Annan Leisure Centre would like to acknowledge the Tharawal people who are the traditional custodians of this land on which we stand upon today. YMCA would also like to pay respect to the elders, past and present of the Tharawal nation and extend that respect to other Aboriginal people present.

On Tuesday the 29th of May YMCA will be teaming up with Marist 180 to provide information about the wonderful services they provide for the community.

What’s Happening: - Welcome to country - Smoking ceremony and speech - Informational talk regarding services and programs offered by Marist 180 - Didgeridoo performance - Free morning tea

About Marist 180: Marist 180 provide a range of programs and services to help individuals create positive change in their lives. They believe that when individuals feel connected to a supportive community and have access to education, accommodation and employment they can achieve their goals. That’s why their aim is to empower individuals and their families, so they can build their own bright future.
