All staff undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment. Successful applicants must comply with the The Y Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults Framework.


Our screening process includes:

  • National Criminal History Records Check
  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • Working with Vulnerable People for the ACT registration
  • Minimum of two qualification and reference checks.

When new employees arrive at the Y they also complete: An Induction and training program, and accredited child protection training.
