Unlike competitive Gymnastics, which requires rigorous training schedules and intense pressure to perform at high levels, recreational gymnastics offers a more relaxed environment where athletes can learn new skills at their own pace without the added stress of competition.

Recreational Gymnastics Classes At The Y Caringbah
- Beginners (Stage 1-3) – for those starting out in gymnastics, aged 5-8
- Intermediate (Stage 4-6) – for those with a little more experience and/or completed all beginner stages, aged about 6-12
- Advanced (Stages 7+) – for more advanced gymnasts who have passed the skills in all six previous stages
- The Y Ninjas – gymnastics and parkour, aged 5-13
- When gymnastics, martial arts, parkour and cross training are combined you get a skills-based, fast-paced, fun program geared for children with lots of energy looking for less structure than standard gymnastics programs
- Team Gym – performance/display-based team program, aged 7-16
- Combine tumbling, mini tramp and dance in an exciting team event. Flip, roll, jump and dance with your friends with performances on three different apparatus – floor; tumbling; and vaulting/mini trampoline. Teams have a minimum of six and maximum of 12 members, with numbers able to change for different routines and apparatus
- Tumbling – for all abilities, aged 7-16
- Learn to perform safe tumbling moves, such as somersaults, flips and handstands, under supervision from our accredited coaches
- GymAbility – a tailored class for participants with additional needs
- Athletes with disability are accommodated to participate in either recreational or competitive gymnastics in fun and safe environments, with potential to qualify for the Special Olympics
